Breathing for Meditators in Advent

with Lucy Barnes
Lucy Barnes Fawcett

Leader

Lucy Barnes Fawcett

Lucy Barnes Fawcett is a dancer and yoga teacher in the WCCM community. She trained to dance in the Martha Graham technique at The Place, and went on to work on stage, film and TV for several years. Her yoga training was in Vanda Scaravelli- influenced Hatha Yoga at London Yoga Teacher Training Group. Not unlike dance; awareness of “grounding, breathing and releasing” is fundamental to the Scaravelli approach to yoga. While training to dance Lucy read ‘The Cloud of Unknowing’. It was years later that she was introduced to the work of John Main and Laurence Freeman by her teacher, Catherine James. Lucy has been teaching and leading groups since 2006.
