Amongst Christian theologians and mystics St John of the Cross (1542 – 1591) is probably one of the most misunderstood (and misquoted).

Rather than presenting the spiritual journey as a ‘gloomy dark night’ he wants to invite us into the mysteries and ecstasies that await our journey of the soul.

In our day together Prof. Peter Tyler will introduce the saint and some of the key elements of his spiritual teaching.
