Tim Cullen is a retired teacher of Primary and Secondary children. Since, he has been involved in introducing meditation in schools and, in the last year, teaching English as a foreign language to Ukrainian refugees.

Gilly Withers retired after 45 years as a secondary school teacher. She believes that the experience of meditation over many years continues to enable her to live life to the full. She is a Benedictine Oblate of the WCCM Community which is very important to her.

Pat Hay

Pat Hay worked as a teacher and then as an Educational Psychologist for many years. She is an Oblate of the WCCM. Over the last ten years she has very much enjoyed sharing Christian meditation with teachers and primary and secondary pupils in schools in Scotland. She is now working to put the new International Guidelines into effect in the UK.

These evenings online (Wednesday 15 February and Wednesday 19 April) are especially formulated for teachers of children of any school age to give an insight into how the regular practice of meditation can help you withstand the pressures of daily life in school today. There will be a short period of meditation and then the sharing of experience. Finally, we will look briefly at research into the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of meditation.
