Epiphany is a collective of musicians and artists of various disciplines. Several of Epiphany’s classical musicians have played in leading orchestras and ensembles throughout the UK and Europe, others lead Celtic music groups and still others are gifted singers, songwriters, composers, arrangers, photographers and artists. As a group, Epiphany have worked in many different contexts: from art galleries to the Houses of Parliament; from charities working with refugees & asylum seekers, recovering alcoholics/drug addicts and homeless etc. to care homes and hospices; from formal concert venues to community events.
Richard Williamson, musical director of Epiphany writes:
Epiphany loves painting pictures in music. We believe that music and the arts can communicate beyond spoken words enhancing the quality of life itself by bringing space into our fast-paced, hectic lives, relieving stress and bringing new perspectives.
Our day together will include a mix of improvised, classical and Celtic music, offering individual Sound Portraits, exploring new ways of listening as well as sharing about our calling and vision.
So please come expecting not only to listen to these 5 classically trained musicians, but also to, we hope, learn to listen to and hear from God in new and meaningful ways.
Of course, we will also enjoy some time in meditation together.
