Labyrinths have been used for thousands of years in different cultures and spiritual traditions.
They are often seen as symbols of a journey through life, a pilgrimage, or a path toward greater understanding and inner peace. Ancient and medieval labyrinths have been found in religious and cultural sites around the world.
Guided by Dr Martin Garsed, we offer you the opportunity to walk his beautiful labyrinth at The Meditatio centre.
You might come and use the walk as a form of contemplative prayer or spiritual practice. Some walkers bring a question, challenge, or life decision and use the walk as a time for reflection, or for healing and well-being.
Martin says: We live in our bodies – but is it a prison or a free agent in the spirit?
This opportunity explores the Labyrinth as contemplative prayer, as a healing tool and a potential holy experience.
Walking the Labyrinth invites you to engage with the challenges of everyday life, it affirms your desire to love the journey and pursue the goal of our faithful response to God’s call.
It is an opportunity to slow down and reflect on your now, in body, mind and spirit.
Martin will begin the session with a brief explanation and history of labyrinths. Then we will each have the opportunity to walk.
The evening will end with light refreshments.
