“A pilgrimage is a spiritual practice, involving a journey with intention to a sacred place, fostering a deep connection with the surroundings and with oneself.” – Rupert Sheldrake
Following in the footsteps of Rupert Sheldrake, who led our city pilgrimage in 2023 we are delighted to offer this venture again; visiting churches of beauty and rich history on an afternoon walk through the City.
Starting from The Meditatio Centre, we will meet to meditate, have a short talk and lunch ( please bring your own lunch ) and depart, walking from our door.
The pilgrimage will take in 5 churches, with time to meditate , and look around each one.
Our route includes among others: St. Bartholomew the Great, St.Etheldreda’s Ely Place, and St Paul’s Cathedral where we will conclude in time for Choral Evensong.
There will be approx. 1 ½ hours walking time together. If you cannot join the full route for mobility reasons you are welcome to start with us and then meet at St Paul’s to have tea and finish together.
More information about the timings of the day, and the churches we will visit will be available beforehand, but if you have any questions please contact Lucy: lucybarnesyoga@icloud.com
Please book ahead- there are maximum 25 places available for this event.
